What Ever Happened To… the Fun House twins?

Forget taxes, the recession, the weather or our ever-approaching death, the most depressing thought of today or any day is that we’ll never get to go on ‘Fun House’.

The kids gameshow ran from 1989 – 1999 and like Crystal Maze (see here) it was cancelled long before its time (ie the time when I get to run around the set).

Pat Sharp and his mullet hosted the contest held in what was essentially a massive kids play-centre with added gunge, incredibly slow go-karts and an irritatingly catchy theme tune.

Also on hand where is cheerleading assistants Melanie and Martina.

While Pat recently took part in ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!’ and is still working in radio – what are those twins up to?

Find out after the jump!

Melanie and Martina Grant were born in Margate in 1971.  They made an appearance in ‘Monty Python’s The Meaning of LIfe’ in 1983.  That’s Martina on the left.

Pat also made reference to them being in the 1989 Batman movie though there’s no more info about that online – so either he’s talking rubbish or they had a very small part.

After ‘Fun House’ ended in 1999 they went to Japan to become popstars!  They became ‘ATT’ (A Twin Thing) and release a single called ‘Keep On Pumping’

After returning to the UK Melanie and Martina got married.

Martina is now divorced, she works in Debenhams and has a young son.

Melanie’s husband sadly died of leukaemia in 2009.  She is now Melanie Bambridge, she has a daughter called Millie and works as a receptionist at a car show room.

Here’s a recent (and smutty) reunion with Pat Sharp.

They also popped up on This Morning for a ‘Guess The Guest’ segment

In January 2013 she appeared on ‘Soccer AM’, see them dancing at 30 seconds

Melanie and Martina, we salute you!
