Here’s the final trailer for ‘Maleficent’, Disney’s live-action take on ‘Sleeping Beauty’ starring Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie.
‘Maleficent’ is out on May 28th in the UK & Ireland and May 30 in the US.

Even a bunch of tough US Marines can’t resist the magic of ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s ‘Frozen’.
Is ‘Frozen’ a little over-hyped? Check out my quick vid on the matter after the jump!
A new Disney album is out but it’s not the soaring and simpering ballads you might expect, this one is all glitchy beats and booming base.
It’s called ‘DConstructed’ and sees some Disney favourites transformed by DJs like Avicii, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade and U.N.K.L.E.
Check out ‘Circle of Life’, ‘Let It Go‘ and the ‘Muppets’ theme tune as you’ve never heard them before –
As Disney are actually behind the Marvel movies (having bought Marvel Entertainment in 2009), ‘Iron Man/Avengers’ star Robert Downey Jr posted this on his Facebook wall with the caption –
“The best part about a Disney deal…”
Really, that wasn’t great parenting in Disney’s uber-hit ‘Frozen’ – here’s how it should have gone…

Ever wonder what it would sound like it Nickleback covered ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’? Nope? Well, Jonathan Young has given the instant Disney classic an impressive rock makeover anyway.
Just one note: Inserting ‘gentleman’ instead of ‘good girl’ doesn’t’ really work as there’s an extra syllable, why not just say ‘good guy’ if you really have to change the words?
Check out why I think Disney’s ‘Frozen’ has become a little over-rated after the jump!
Disney’s ‘Frozen’ is now the highest grossing animated film of all time (with 1.072 billion and counting!) but does that mean it’s the best? I don’t think so…
Here are three reasons why I think it has become a bit over-hyped (warning: contains my singing voice)
Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments or at @showbizgeek & @theroryjohn
PS Check out the admittedly great ‘Let It Go’ one more time after the jump!
In 1945 Disney began working with the surrealist artist Salvador Dali on a short film. Sounds amazing, right? Unfortunately, the studio was a bit strapped for cash at the time and the project was shelved after just a few test shots.
In 1999, while working on the new ‘Fantasia’, Walt Disney’s nephew Roy Disney dusted ‘Destino’ off and finally steered it towards completion. The finished six-minute film was finally released in 2003, including some original footage from studio artist John Hench.
Unfortunately, most people (well, me for one) haven’t heard of it, much less seen it. Check out ‘Destino’ after the jump! It’s as beautiful and bizarre as you’d hope.
Oil painter Heather Theurer has created some beautiful portraits of our Disney favourites Here’s little “Lilo and Stitch” (btw can you spot Nemo?)
More of Heather’s paintings after the jump!
Can’t improve on Disney? Think again. Tyson Murphy took frames from classic Disney films ‘101 Dalmations’ and ‘The Sword in the Sword’ and added a bit more lighting and depth. Here’s his work alongside the originals.
Check out more of Tyson’s work on his tumblr here.
